My experiences of low carb 5:2 – Week 1

  • cutting out all traditional carbs such as bread, pasta etc.
  • not having any sweet food (this includes fruit which contains too much fructose).
  • being careful with foods which contain a small amount of carbohydrates like milk and tomatoes.

Monday

Scrambled eggs with onion and pepper

2 Black coffees

Feta and avocado salad with toasted pine nuts

1 babybel

Courgette spaghetti with monkfish in tomato sauce

Tuesday

2 egg omelette

1 black coffee

1 white coffee made with small amount of milk

Mushroom and feta salad

Low cal jelly with spoon of full fat creme fraiche

Chilli and coriander prawns with mega stir-fry
